I've been working on my borders. I'll send you a picture when I get the top finished. I like all the suggestions you've been given. It will be interesting to see what you end up doing. Can't wait to see the finished product.
JudyPtquilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09403427980714866559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683178286630914056.post-25576793426329440452012-12-30T09:43:31.768-06:002012-12-30T09:43:31.768-06:00I love checking out your quilts and your lifestyle...I love checking out your quilts and your lifestyle.
I would applique some yellow or gold birds to represent the result of the collision of the blue & grey (freedom)Heather from Californianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683178286630914056.post-53243515603667477502012-12-30T08:47:29.590-06:002012-12-30T08:47:29.590-06:00I like the idea of some stars appliqued on top sca...I like the idea of some stars appliqued on top scattered around. If this was a blanket I would say it needs no more and is not boring. But as a piece of art and hanging on the wall as a statement I can see it needs more.Emily Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06355430367700041380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683178286630914056.post-38388180373173851502012-12-29T21:30:09.295-06:002012-12-29T21:30:09.295-06:00I thought of both suggestions: quilting in the bor...I thought of both suggestions: quilting in the border in a bold color (could even be a heavier weight yellow/gold thread) and star appliques (see my post here: http://treadlemusic.wordpress.com/2012/12/01/a-saturday-finish/ ). I love doing an overlay of appliques when the quilt just doesn't seem "finished". You could print something out in various sizes to lay on it - play with scale, colors, etc, to see if something pops for you.Lynettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424861624240818479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683178286630914056.post-373760986909236152012-12-29T17:19:49.399-06:002012-12-29T17:19:49.399-06:00How about hand quilting the border with perle in r...How about hand quilting the border with perle in red?Debra Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05267303622745863346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6683178286630914056.post-70058847786059018232012-12-29T17:19:34.908-06:002012-12-29T17:19:34.908-06:00I like the quilt but if you want a suggestion, may...I like the quilt but if you want a suggestion, maybe some gold applique stars scattered over the top would bring some zing to the quilt.
Gailgail.designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12221764703394466734noreply@blogger.com
