Holiday Pines

This is my third quilt in the “Pines” series. I’m having so much fun making these small quilts.

And now I’m working on my 4th pine. I’ve stitched the tree and trunk but need to quilt the sky and ground yet. And I need a name. Any suggestions?

Ugliest Pillow Case

Imagine my surprise when I won a fun award for

The Quilt With  the Ugliest Pillow Case.

It’s not only ugly but has grease stains and is very faded. We used it for many years on the children’s pillows.

Picking Cotton

They came to pick our cotton.

 

… and dump it into the boll buggy …

 

… and put it into these packer things …

 

… to make these modules.

 

Now they are ready to be moved to the cotton gin.

 

Tina Sue waited while Ashton climbed the module.

 

Ashton was glad to get back with Tina. It was scary up on that module.

Birmingham Quilt Guild

Today I went to Alabama to share my quilts with the Birmingham Quilt Guild.

 

 

I enjoyed their “show & tell” and seeing the many quilts they have made.

 

 

Their president Vasha tells about her “string” quilt.

 

After my Power Point Presentation and trunk show these ladies took me out to Jim N Nicks for a BBQ lunch.

 

Thank you ladies for a wonderful day. I enjoyed it so much.
