Life and Log Cabin Quilts with Flavin Glover
Life …
We are remodeling our church house. They have demolished the old classroom walls with termite damage and are getting ready to build on a new addition.
Recent guests in our home have been a group from Faith Mission Home in Virginia. Ashton enjoyed visiting with them so much and wanted to be included in the picture.
Darryl and Laura Schrock
Jerril and Paula surprised Amy with a visit for her birthday.
… as a Quilter
Our Possum Town Quilters enjoyed a class with Flavin Glover from Auburn, AL.
She makes all kinds of quilts using the “log cabin” block in her work.
I helped our Possum Town Quilters do some hand quilting under the tent for Artisan's Day in Columbus, MS as part of the Spring Pilgrimage.

Columbus Tales and Quilts to Louisville
Life ...
This evening we took in the “Tales From the Crypt” at Friendship Cemetery in Columbus.
“Tales from the Crypt re-creates the lives of noted personalities interred at the historic Friendship Cemetery, the site of the Confederate Decoration Day that inspired the poem, The Blue and the Gray”
… as a Quilter
I’m working on “Lily IV” for a class sample.
Our Magnolia Sewing Circle delivered quilts in Louisville, MS where…
… a tornado destroyed homes a year ago.

Visit to Dustins, Gina, and Bryce in LA
Paul and I took a short trip to Los Angeles to visit our 10th grandchild, Bryce Camden.
Dustin and Gina welcomed us to their home. We enjoyed dinner in their back yard.
Paul and I took a walk around the block and enjoyed the sights, flowers, ...
...and palm trees of Tujunga.
Dustins live in what they call a "back house." It's cute and comfortable, just perfect for their needs.
Saturday they took us to Montrose for ...
... a treat of homemade ice cream at Paradis.
On Sunday we drove up to Lubec for church and lunch. Then we drove just a little further north on Interstate 5 through "the Grapevine" to where the mountains abruptly stop and the San Joaquin Valley begins.
We pulled off at Pyramid Lake ...
...and learned more about the water resources of California.
This little munchkins was sleeping soundly when we got back.

I have been working on more “Lily” fiber art.
This piece is for the 2015 SAQA Benefit Auction.

And this piece that I’m working on is for a class sample.
