Ugliest Pillow Case

Imagine my surprise when I won a fun award for
The Quilt With  the Ugliest Pillow Case.

It’s not only ugly but has grease stains and is very faded. We used it for many years on the children’s pillows.

Picking Cotton

They came to pick our cotton.

… and dump it into the boll buggy …

… and put it into these packer things …

… to make these modules.

Now they are ready to be moved to the cotton gin.

Tina Sue waited while Ashton climbed the module.

Birmingham Quilt Guild

Today I went to Alabama to share my quilts with the Birmingham Quilt Guild.

Work in Progress -- Snow on the Pine & JOY

My "Pine Tree Series" is a work in progress. This is the second quilt of the series. I'm calling it

Snow on the Pine

Measures 19 1/2" X 17 3/4"
Fiber: mostly cotton
Batting: Hobbs Heirloom Cotton
Thread: an assortment of cotton and polyester

The Lone Pine
